Description

Pentagon Freight Aberdeen are looking for a Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor for our Aberdeen facility.

The role will be responsible for ensuring a compliant DGSA service is provided as well as assisting with the packing, labelling and declaration requirements as and when required.

Duties will include:

Monitoring, advising and reporting on dangerous goods transport compliance and best practice for our clients
Developing and delivering current service already being provided
Conduct DGSA audits
Provide external clients with advice and guidance on the handling of Dangerous Goods
Preparation of annual reports
Managing the office with regards to the DfT requirements for aviaiton security, ensuring compliance by all personnel
Ensuring all paperwork, as required by the regulations, is available and compliant with regards to aviation security
Previous experience working with Dangerous Goods in air, sea and road
DGSA accreditation would be beneficial
Strong communication skills
Good planning and organisation skills
Ability to show initative and deliver solutions
Flexible to travel within the UK
