Intercity Logistics is a growing specialist haulage company, that provide a first-class secure service to the banking, government & infrastructure sectors, the role will include delivering and installing high valued items across various projects.

They are seeking an enthusiastic and customer driven 7.5T Driver/Installer to join their Stoke Depot team. You will report to the Depot Supervisor on a daily basis.

Days / Hours of work for days - Monday-Friday 45 hours a week (Overtime & weekend work may be required as needed)

Holiday - 22 days + Bank Holidays

Salary - 25k starting + Project Bonuses

Requirements & Responsibilities:

Must at least 2 years current experience driving.
Ideally have a valid CPC + Digital Tacho Card
Must hold a clean license.
Multidrop Deliveries.
Ability to operate Taillift vehicles.
Pallet and trolley deliveries essential for transport of goods to installation projects.
Stairwalker deliveries, (training provided)
Safely use Pump Trucks (training provided)
Unbox and remove packaging, and placements (when requested).
Manual Handling, carrying stock upstairs. (Risk assessments & method statements are available)
CRB Checks & SC clearance.
Ensure all company driving policies are adhered to at all times.
To drive in a safe and responsible manner (all vehicles are tracked with telematics reporting on driver style), driving style will be monitored on a regular basis.
All accidents/incidents are to be reported to operations immediately.
All driver training to be completed within first 3 months of employment as well as FORS elearning modules.
A demonstrable understanding of vehicle safety and upkeep.
Accurately complete all relevant paperwork.
Load and unload in accordance with the Company code of practice and use appropriate equipment.
Maintaining security of load when loading, transporting, and delivering.
Carry out daily checks on vehicles.
Comply with legislation regarding vehicle safety, tachographs operation and working time.
Relay appropriate customer queries to management as required.
An understanding of the importance of customer service is essential, this is not an A to B driving job and there is a lot of customer contact.
Act as an ambassador for the company, providing high standard of customer care and being polite at all times.
To undertake any reasonable management request.

Skill Requirements:

Essential

Fluent in English.
Be able to work under pressure.
Must have good communication skills.
Be reliable, flexible, and hard working.
Full clean driving license (2 years' experience)
DBS checks will be carried out.
Employment References are essential.
Great customer service skills.
Excellent people skills.
Clean, tidy & well organized.
Well Presented.
Be able to complete paperwork.
Ability to work in a second man team efficiently.
Great attention to detail.
Copes well under pressure.
Manual Handling experience.
Assembly & Installation experience would be an advantage. E.g., Units for kitchens, office furniture, flat pack project work, instructionbased project work, plug and play, indoor outdoor furniture installation, electrical, gas engineering, building, scaffolding, and most engineering backgrounds.
Able to lift and carry large goods comfortably across multiple terrains.
CSCS card is not essential but desirable.
