Tenancy Management Assistant (Maternity Cover) (P Job Share

Job description
We are recruiting for a Tenancy Management Assistant (TMA) to join our Tenancy Management service.

The role is job share, working 18.50 hrs per week; working pattern is Monday and Tuesday all day and Wednesday morning.


You will work to provide support and assist the Tenancy Management Officers in the management of all council owned and managed properties.

You will work with colleagues to ensure that our Neighbourhoods and buildings are safe, maintained and enhanced through regular inspections.

You will complete Tenancy Sign Up appointments, process Tenancy Changes and Mutual Exchanges, complete property inspections and various generic visits relating to Tenancy Management and support.


The role is busy, varied and valued and you will play a large role in the tenancy management team specifically in the realms of fire safety and support and welfare of our vulnerable client group.

You will use IT systems efficiently to diligently and accurately record all your work and outcomes. You will forge effective working relationships with colleagues and partner agencies. The workload is diverse and excellent prioritisation skills are a necessity.

The Post Holder will need to possess:

  • A minimum of 3 GCSE's or equivalent to including English and Mathematics.
  • Excellent communication skills as our client base is diverse.
  • A minimum of 2 years Housing experience.
  • General knowledge of the Housing Act 1985 and Localism Act 2011.


Your base is at Appletree Court in Lyndhurst with the technical support and ability to work remotely across the district to deliver an effective customer-based service.

The role requires the postholder to undertake visits therefore a full driver's licence and use of a car is essential.

A monthly car allowance will be paid in addition to mileage expenses incurred.
