    Reablement Care and Support Worker - From £12.38 per hour to £13.02 per hour - Ripon/Knaresborough

    • Shifts: AM: 07:00 14:30 (finish time may vary on contacted hours) | PM: 14:30 22:00 | Alternate weekends

    Are you passionate about to making a difference? would you like to join an enthusiastic, dedicated, happy team? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Reablement Care and Support Worker to join our Reablement team in the Knaresborough and Ripon area.

    So what is Reablement? If someone needs a little bit of support to get back on their feet, Reablement can help them get used to doing things for themselves again. It encourages people to develop the skills and confidence they need to carry out daily tasks themselves whilst continuing to live at home.

    We are looking for individuals who are dedicated to promoting the independence of people we support in the community. The main focus of your work will be to provide hands on care and support to vulnerable people in the community to enable them to regain and maximize their independence in response to an assessment of their needs.

    Your role will require you to gain knowledge about local universal services and assistive technology such as telecare. You will be required to assist the Managers in Reablement team in assessing individual need by providing regular feedback and updates on progress made.

    If not, don't worry, we'll give you all the help and support you need to gain the knowledge and skills to carry out this role.

    If you do not already hold the Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care that isn't a problem, we will support you to achieve this through our apprenticeship or diploma training route.

    Given the nature of the role you must have the ability to travel across own and neighbouring teams to work in the homes of adults with care & support needs.

    There will be a requirement for you to work some evenings and weekends on a rota basis as part of a 7 day service covering the hours between 7am and 10pm.

    Additional £30 per weekend day will be paid Time to travel in between visits given Mileage allowance of 45p per mile Other additional benefits available.
