Senior Personal Tax Manager
Bristol
Up to £60,000 DOE
We have the pleasure of working with a new client with an impressive presence across the Southwest who have a unique and exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to join their Bristol team as a Senior Personal Tax Manager, reporting directly to thePartners.
The responsibilities:
- Managing tax compliance work for the client portfolio, including but not limited to; recovery rates, billing, debt and WIP management and dealing with HMRC correspondence including enquiries.
- Manage client financials including recoveries, identification of additional billable work and upselling, identifying late fees and chasing payments.
- Involvement with taxrelated Forensic assignments including drafting finalised reports.
- Involvement with tax planning projects, full responsibility on particular substantial tax planning projects.
- Dealing with client queries and building strong commercial relationships.
- Hosting client meetings and building rapport through providing accurate and trusted advice.
- Leading the daytoday management of the team, including assigning work to the appropriate employees, and developing junior members of the team.
- Providing knowledgeable technical advice to clients, junior staff and the greater team where necessary. Educate your team on specific areas of tax knowledge and develop technical specialisms.
- Reviewing of work and appraisals of more junior staff.
- CTA Qualified.
- ACA/ACCA qualified would be preferable.
- Experience at a supervisory level.
- Excellent technical knowledge of accounts preparation, tax compliance, both business and personal tax regulations, VAT and PAYE.
- Excellent communication skills both internally and externally, via all communication methods.
- A teamcentric and focused attitude, with a proactive and methodical approach.
- The ability to prioritise and adapt to everfluctuating workloads and adhering to strict deadlines.
