SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School in Finchley


We are looking for a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at a lovely primary school based in Finchley.

The successful individual will be responsible for providing 1-2-1 and small group support to children with autism.


Responsibilities:


  • Work alongside teachers, actively participating in both inclass and extracurricular activities
  • Assist in classroom management, providing guidance and support to the students
  • Support with daytoday activities such as meal times and play time
  • Assist with preparing materials for classroom activities
  • Monitor and record student progress
  • Provide additional support with reading, writing and numeracy

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working with children with autism
  • Patience, understanding and enthusiasm
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Enhanced DBS Checked
