Belmond is seeking a Chief Engineer for a luxury train in the UK.

The ideal candidate will take full control of all the maintenance and engineering required to safely and successfully set up and operate the train while striving towards Belmond's brand strategy of being the number one luxury travel experience in the world.
About the role
Based in London and reporting to the train's General Manager, you will be responsible for the Engineering Team, managing employees, contractors and support services in line with budget and operational standards. You will ensure the train is maintained and operated in line with ORR and National Rail standards and participate in required projects and improvement programmes to roll out new functionality, procedures, scheduling and reports. With responsibility for the budget, supply chain, accurate forecasting and delivery of maintenance, and economy of all utilities and resources, you will need to have excellent planning, communication and strategy skills.
