Reed Finance are working in partnership with a leading Birmingham employer to appoint a Financial Controller. An overview of the duties below but please contact me to discuss the role in more detail


Responsibilities:


  • Prepare monthly management accounts with relevant business performance analysis
  • Prepare monthly departmental profit centre reporting
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation for all accounts
  • Prepare bank reconciliations To prepare intangible / fixed assets register and agent fee calculations
  • Prepare VAT, Corporation tax return, P32 and PAYE processing
  • Prepare p11d, P60s, Gender Pay Gap report, Matchday Gate Receipts Statements, and ONA
  • Review casual payroll, petty cash, cash collection report
  • Review monthly payroll and process staff pension
  • Coordinate in the annual budget process
  • Oversee company billing to ensure proper processing of invoices and collections of direct debits
  • Oversee the processing of accounting transactions to ensure accurate records are maintained by the business
  • Production of statutory information for yearly and interim audits, liaising with auditors
  • Work closely with all departments to promote operational financial efficiency
  • Contribute positively to the company vision and culture
  • Fully qualified accountant or equivalent (ACCA CIMA or ACA)
  • Excellent data analysis skills
  • Experience of working with large data set with the ability to reach conclusions
  • Ability to tailor financial reporting based on individual departmental requirements
  • Strong critical thinking
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word proficiency
