_ About the role_


You will be joining a part time Administrator and a full time Senior Administrator, to be the main point of contact for all our visitors and parents.

Tasks will include clerical and administrative activities within the academy including admissions and:

  • Provide general clerical support including clerical processes, word processing, IT based tasks including data input, requiring knowledge of various ICT packages and operation of office equipment
  • Undertake general financial administration such as processing orders, collecting monies and undertake basic book keeping, such as for petty cash
  • Undertake reception duties, act as first point of contact in response to and deal with enquiries either by telephone or facetoface and sign in visitors, deal with lost property etc.
  • Respond to First Aid issues and undertake first aid duties and training. First point of contact for sick pupils, liaise with parents / carers /staff
  • Produce lists, information and data as requested by senior staff or external agencies (e.g. standard/statutory returns)
  • Maintain manual and computerised records and management information systems.
  • Open, sort and distribute incoming mail and post outgoing mail
  • Assist with arrangements for academy visits and events including parents evenings
  • Maintain stocks and supplies, selling and distributing as required
  • Provide administrative support for meetings and take notes at meetings
  • Assist with the administration of academy lettings and other uses of academy.
Permanent role 37hrs per week over 39 weeks 08:00 to 16:00 with a 30 min unpaid lunch and 1 early finish per week

The academy opened in September 2012 and is sponsored by the David Ross Education Trust.

It is a smaller than average secondary school with 470 students currently on roll in key stages 3 and 4 and 40 students in our satellite sixth form.

We have a PAN of 90.


The academy is currently attracting students from a wide catchment area from Skegness, the surrounding area and as far as Boston, Alford and Louth.


The proportion of students who are disadvantaged (37%) and the proportion of students with SEND (28%) is above the national average.

The proportion of students with an education, health and care plan is below average (3%).
