Content Designer

Contract Length: 3 months

Location:
Hybrid/London, Manchester or Bristol - 1 to 2 days in the office depending on agreement

IR35:

Pay Rate to Intermediary:
£425 per day

Spinwell is recruiting for a Content Designer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.


RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CONTENT DESIGNER

  • Finalising content for the supporting materials for Data Maturity Assessment so that it is publishable to GOV.UK
  • Finalising content around the work and processes of the Data Standards Authority for publication to GOV.UK
  • Finalising content for Non Corporate Communication Channels guidance for publication to GOV.UK
  • Advising on content structure for future Knowledge, Information and Records Management (KIRM) policy/guidance work
  • Finalising content for the Metadata Specification and advising on the content structure for Metadata Implementation Guidance for publication to GOV.UK
  • Advising on content design principles to make support materials clear, easy to understand and help CDDO to be more transparent
  • Identifying further areas in the team where better content can make an impact
  • Working flexibly and collaboratively on a range of different projects in Data Strategy and Standards, in line with the GOV.UK content design principles.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE CONTENT DESIGNER
- experience of developing and publishing content to GOV.UK
- ability to hit the ground running and effectively engage in projects at different stages of development
- robust experience in writing, editing and publishing digital content
- experience in using content management systems and content production processes to publish content
- ability write in plain language in a way that users understand, making information accessible to all
- understand government accessibility requirements and design content that works with common assistive technologies
- strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities
- ability to deliver at pace
