- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, product managers, customer services and development teams, to understand their requirements and document them so that they can be delivered as software enhancements by the development team.
- Analysis, Process Design and Documentation: Analyse the requirements and define the business and system processes to deliver the requirements. Document the analysis and processes so. Identify areas for improvement and translate findings into clear and comprehensive documentation that can be converted into system features.
- Functional Specification: Define detailed functional specifications for system development in form of user stories / functional requirements document with acceptance criteria, and data models, to guide the development team in implementing enhancements.
- Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate effective communication between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring alignment of priorities and expectations throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Quality Assurance Support: Work closely with QA analysts to define test cases and scenarios, ensuring that software enhancements meet quality standards and fulfil business requirements.
- User Acceptance Testing: Define scenarios for user acceptance testing as part of the software development process and execute them before new feature go live so that new features are delivered without any issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek feedback from users and stakeholders to identify opportunities for further enhancements and optimizations to the software platform.
- Product Roadmap and Project Management: Work with the head of product development to deliver the business prioritised product roadmap. Assist in project planning and coordination, including estimating effort, prioritising tasks, and monitoring progress towards delivery milestones.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field is preferred
- Proven experience as a business analyst or similar role in developing web based eCommerce applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable developments.
- Ability to work with high level concepts and ideas and convert them into deliverable solutions is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and tools, such as JIRA.
- Experience with booking management software is desirable but not required.

As a Business Systems Analyst at BookingsPlus, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our technical development team and our clients' business needs. You will work with in the product team and will be responsible for analysing, documenting, and communicating requirements for software enhancements, ensuring that our solutions meet and exceed the expectations of our users.
