What's the role?
The Leyland Facility is where the Chicago Town Pizzas started over 30 years ago.

We are looking for a Laboratory Supervisor to be responsible for the running of four laboratories to ensure that a full and competent service is provided, which supports the company in maintaining consistent food safety and quality.

Your Future:

You'll be responsible for making sure the lab personnel understand and follow good laboratory practice as well as good manufacturing practice.
Ensuring that all paperwork and product details are correct and tested in accordance with procedures. Including the reporting of any nonconformances for trend analysis.
Responsible for creating and the distribution of notifications and rejections to the suppliers for any nonconforming products.
Having responsibility for the completion of the monthly Lab and Rejection Reports.
Involvement with the recruitment and development of the lab team.
Opportunities to be involved in the developing goals and targets of the team.
Having ownership of the lab budget alongside the Lab Manager as well as creating and goods receipting PO Numbers.
Conducting parallel testing of Chemical and Micro samples for comparison against external results.

Your Strengths:

To have at least 3 years' experience in a Lab/ Quality role.
To be computer literate in, all of Word, SAP, Excel systems.
Have a high level of numeracy skills.
To be detail Conscious, with the ability to action.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
