Job summary:

To assist in the delivery of Forestry England led visitor services at Bedgebury National Pinetum & Forest, predominantly 'front of house' customer engagement, contributing towards a positive and highquality visitor experience

Job description:

Undertake cash handling duties, including operating tills and fulfilling start/end of day cashing-up procedures.

Operate and administer the vehicle entry system, including data entry, daily maintenance and input.

Deliver sales and promotion of the Forestry England Membership promoting the benefits and value of the site to the customer.

Undertake basic housekeeping tasks and site maintenance to include emptying bins, litter collection and cleaning of toilets.

Provide support to the wider Bedgebury team, undertaking a range of administrative tasks and support on other projects.

Provision of basic first aid and supporting the team in the implementation of emergency procedures.

Health and safety focus, promoting a culture where health and safety is prioritised for all users of the site and reporting near misses and incidents on internal systems.

Person specification:

Essential
Previous experience working in a customer-facing role and dealing with a wide variety of stakeholders and customers.

Desirable
Experience of undertaking cash handling duties.

Annual leave allowance of 25 days on entry increasing by 1 day each year to a maximum of 30 days (pro rata based on part time hours). After 20 years' service you will receive a oneoff award of 5 extra days' holiday. In addition, you'll receive all public holidays plus an additional 2.5 'privilege' days (prorata for part time).

This role is part-time - 15 hours per week.
