Our client an award winning global engineering group with expertise in the design and delivery projects in the water sector are looking to expand their team in Scotland by recruiting an experienced Site Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis fora job based on the outskirts of Perth.

You will be part of a team that delivers the safe, efficient and on time delivery of water andwastewater infrastructure projects.

As Site Engineer, you will work closely with the Civils Construction Manager and Site Manager and will be responsible for:

  • Setting out and surveying.
  • Creating a safe working environment.
  • Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site
  • Implementing strategies as discussed with management.
  • Liaising with site staff and subcontractors.
  • Checking design plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
  • Produce 2D & 3D site sketches.
  • Develop method statements and risk assessment.
  • Supporting the team, and any other site engineering duties as required.
  • Undertake material reconciliations.
  • Control and minimise waste on site.
  • Regular communication of the client.
  • Mentoring and training junior staff when required.
  • Educated to a minimum of HNC level in Civil Engineering.
  • Previous experience on Scottish Water projects.
  • Concrete water tank experience is desirable.
  • Experienced working within a heavy civil engineering environment.
  • Previous experience settingout and surveying is essential
  • CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid qualifications would also be advantageous.
  • Experienced using Microsoft packages and AutoCAD.
  • Able to work in various locations across Scotland.
  • Full UK drivers license.
