We are collaborating with a dynamic food supplier experiencing rapid growth and expansion into new markets and customer segments. This unique opportunity involves hands-on innovation, taking concepts from inception to product launch, and working closely with major retailers.

Initially_, this role is offered as a maternity cover position, with the potential to transition into a permanent role as the company continues its remarkable journey forward.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Provide new product concepts in response to signed off internal & external briefs
on time and to the agreed costs and of quality.
You will liaise with internal stakeholders, account managers, process, technical and ops to ensure that all these departments are engaged in the process.
You will seek creative process solutions within the existing manufacturing methods, working with the process and operational teams.
You will manage your NPD & EPD projects from concept through to successful launch of said projects.
You will work closely with customers in the development of innovative products

What's required?

Previous experience of product development in a bakery environment
Familiar with bakery manufacturing and ways of working
Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, particularly MS Excel
Good communication skills
Able to work well as part of a site management team
Ability to work independently and be selfmotivated
Degree Level/HND, preferably Masters in Food Science, Bakery Science or Chemistry (or equivalent)
