Your new role


The Marigold Assessment Plus Team are looking to appoint a full time Children and Families to support the Edge of Care Team to keep children/young people with their families and be safe and appropriately cared for.


This is a fixed term contract until 31st October 2023


If successful, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting families and foster carers 7 days a week, including out of office hours, on a rota basis.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this position, you need to have a background in social care and essentially with children.


You will need up to date working knowledge and understanding of the effect of social and economic disadvantage on young people and families, including legislation and issues regarding anti-social behaviour.


In addition you must have an understanding of categories of abuse, impact of childhood trauma and behaviour associated with trauma, vulnerabilities to child sexual and criminal exploitation, domestic abuse and the impact on the parents and children, substance misuse and the potential triggers, mental illness and potential barriers to working with and supporting families with extensive histories of social care involvement.
