Communications Officer to join our team and support the delivery of strong and trusted communications within one of the country's largest and highest performing local authorities.
  • As a real team player, you'll bring initiative, strong organisational skills, and great ideas, and we'll provide a communications role that is varied and rewarding. You'll be part of a friendly, dynamic and highly skilled team, communicating to Hampshire's 1.
4 million residents and stakeholders about the work of the County Council to deliver services including:

education and schools, highways, children and adults' social care, the local economy and environment, country parks; architecture and building design, and trading standards - the list goes on.- In this varied and dynamic role, when you're not dealing with media enquiries from journalists or developing engaging, innovative content for media, online and social media audiences, you'll be involved in our work to support employee engagement and promote Hampshire County Council as an employer of choice.

You'll also play an important role in supporting the smooth running of the Communications team and helping with developing and implementing key business processes to support ongoing improvement and innovation across the team.- You'll be an excellent communicator, able to write sharp, engaging copy for a range of audiences and platforms, and measure how effective it is through analytics.

You'll be able to work proactively and independently, while following corporate standards, protocols and processes, and be capable of working under pressure and to tight deadlines.

Your strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail will mean you always maintain accuracy and quality standards as you develop and coordinate content across various internal and external channels.- You may be required to visit other locations within Hampshire, and therefore need to have the ability to travel, as necessary.- Join us for this exciting next step in your career and help deliver communications that make a real and positive impact.
