Salary - £55,666 rising to £56,704 after successful completion of induction and probation

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring Head of Care who can help unlock those opportunities and continually develop our services.

About us


We support adults with learning disabilities and older people across Bury in Greater Manchester and provide a range of services for adults across days, stays and lives.

These services are very diverse and offer a unique and exciting opportunity to empower the people we support.


Persona is a local authority trading company and as such, plays a significant role in the delivery of social care in Bury.

About you


You will:
- be an inspirational leader, who is a role model for outstanding, personalised support and has a passion for providing support that meets and exceeds our internal quality standards and those of our regulators
- be experienced in managing registered services and have experience in a senior management role
- have a 'hands on approach' - we expect our Head of Care to be visible within our services and approachable to all members of the team

- have experience in auditing and ensuring that action plans are created and achieved
- be confident with technology and able to support implementation of care planning software
- be collaborative and able to work in partnership with colleagues across the leadership team

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • senior operational experience of Health and Social Care, with experience of leading and managing within the sector
- operational experience of managing dispersed services and staff teams

  • Level 5 or equivalent professional/management qualification
- experience of budget management.
- experience of being a CQC registered manager and of being involved in regulatory inspections
- experience of supporting and managing registered managers
- experience and confidence in the use of ICT systems and equipment including but not limited to:
  • Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint), care management software, technology enabled care solutions

About the role


As Head of Care you will be working alongside the Director of Care and the current Head of Care, ensuring services are compliant and ensuring delivery of quality services to people receiving support.

Your role will involve enabling and supporting services across the business to be delivered in line with Persona's values.

You will ensure that services being delivered to people we support are safe, caring, effective, responsive and well-led, bringing about change, being consistent, leading by example and always maintaining a focus on quality.


For this role you will have a strong understanding of regulatory compliance and be able to identify concerns and act to resolve these quickly and effectively.
