This is an exciting opportunity for a Head of Product to join the new team.

They are looking for someone to take strategic and operational responsibility for the product management function, including oversight of new product launches and ongoing assessment of existing products to identify opportunities to drive greater customerdemand or mitigate underwriting risks.

Responsibilities:

With a knowledge of underwriting risk and potentially medical expertise, you will seek out new commercial opportunities and make recommendations for innovative product features or new products, at all times taking into account our regulatory obligationsand the potential impact on our underwriting claims performance.
You will consider customer and Contact Centre feedback and insight, insurer feedback, underwriting risk factors, market developments and competitor activity in delivering exceptional products which are at all times compliant with local regulations, bestmarket practices and Group governance.
You will have overall responsibility for ensuring that customers fulfilment packs are easy to understand, accessible and compliant and that they meet the needs of our customers, the business and our underwriters.
You will have a relentless focus on avoiding ambiguities in how important clauses could be interpreted, recognising the risk to claims performance or customer satisfaction. Experience
Commercially orientated with a proven track record of successfully managing insurance products from an underwriting and claims performance perspective
Excellent knowledge of insurance policy legislation and regulatory / compliance needs relating to policy wordings, likely gained from either a medical, underwriting or claims background
A track record which demonstrates a strong balance between technical knowhow and commercial pragmatism
Extensive experience of leading on product and policy wording projects, demonstrating the ability to form strong working relationships with underwriters at a senior level and a strong understanding of the interaction between policy wording and claims
