Executive Management Corporate Responsibilities

  • To contribute as a member of the Senior Leadership Team to the development and delivery of the Trust's vision, values, and organisational purpose.
  • To actively lead on the management of the Trust' s financial transactions, budget and funds and to monitor and contribute to budget development and performance.
  • To manage/deliver the service in accordance with the Trust's corporate policies and procedures and relevant strategy provision, and to meet all statutory compliance.
  • To manage/deliver the Trust outcomes, in the most efficient and effective way, that delivers the Trust's priorities and work plan and contribute to the core values of the Trust.
  • To ensure the effective management and leadership of employees across all areas of the Trust
  • To prepare and coordinate reports for the Trust, its Board, or other relevant working groups or advisory committees with a focus on financial management accounting
  • To undertake any other reasonably required duties as instructed by someone acting on Chief Executives behalf, in addition to the role specific tasks & responsibilities detailed below.

Role Specific Tasks and Responsibilities

  • To lead and strategically develop a corporate business function to provide an integrated, customerfocussed, and efficient business partnering approach across the Trust.
  • To take a lead role in the financial management and compliance of the Trust, including developing, maintaining, and monitoring robust corporate financial procedures and budgeting processes, as well as supporting the requirements of the payroll function.
  • Develop and manage accurate financial reports for financial forecasting.
  • File VAT returns as well as any ONS surveys and HMRC returns as required.
  • Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of Corporate personal development plans which align to the Trust's objectives and values and drive cultural transformation
  • Ensure that Human Resource policies procedures, practices and administrative processes are relevant, updated and legally compliant and that all employees are aware of the HR policies and their responsibilities ,
  • Develop effective processes to monitoring corporate business across the Trust and present relevant analytics as required.
  • Develop and monitor, with relevant internal partners, an effective and resilient business continuity plan and relevant risk register for the Trust
  • Liaising directly with the Trust's Chief Operating Officer you will act as the Trust's Data Protection Officer to support the Trust understanding and compliance with all relevant aspects of GDPR
  • Ensure that all HR and people data is managed and maintained in accordance with the GDPR regulations
  • Lead the development of corporate public information on the Trust's external website to enable easy public access.
  • To develop and deliver effective bespoke presentations to internal and external customers showcasing the values and aims of the trust.
  • To review, maintain and effectively cascade the Employee Handbook throughout the Trust in accordance with best practice and legal compliance.
  • Develop and maintain effective and robust version document control systems of all relevant corporate polices and registers across the Trust
  • Lead the Trust to continue the development of the IIP Award, and other recognised quality standards, ensuring that appropriate systems are developed and implemented, undertaking regular audits to ensure maintenance of such.
  • Develop and implement a series of procedures and processes to ensure Trust functions adhere to corporate policies, procedures and statutory regulations.
  • Ensure that committee and board procedures, including any standing orders, are always adhered to.
  • Ensure the development and implement marketing and communications strategies, promoting continuous improvement to achieve the overall strategic objectives contributing to the growth of the Trust
  • Foster good external partner relationships including with ICT, Marketing and Communications and HR consultants to support Trust improvement and development and bespoke project work
  • Oversee investigations and complex employee relations issues including dismissal, grievance, and managing absence, seeking advice and guidance as necessary with the external HR and or legal services provider.
  • Support, where appropriate, the Senior Leadership Team in the Recruitment, Selection and Induction process within their functions, including the coordination of work placement, intern and apprenticeship processes
  • Monitor relevant corporate data and provide reports to the Executive Team and Trust Board when required.
