Job Purpose


To motivate and manage a team with the aim of ensuring we deliver exceptional, high-quality events, in Southwest Scotland's largest Events venue.

Working with our clients from planning to delivery to sure their event experience exceeds expectation every time.


Main Duties

  • Meet with customers to plan their events and offer help, guidance and support throughout the planning process.
  • Ensure that client expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Working with the customers at an operational level during their event to ensure successful delivery.
  • Manage and lead a team during operational shifts in all areas of the business.
  • Be hands on when required, involved with and supporting staff teams.
  • Communicate effectively with all team members pre, during, and post shift.
  • Attend communication meetings prior to event and ensure event details are delivered as expected by customer.
  • Have an awareness of all Health and Safety policies and procedures, and ensure they are adhered to during events.
  • Have an understanding of Licencing laws and Regulations.
  • Act as Duty Manager when required to do so.
  • Ensure all financial procedures are followed when handling cash, cards; and ensure opening and closing procedures are always followed.
  • Be prepared to work a variety of shifts on a rota basis.
  • Work across the Crichton Trust Venues.
  • Deputise for the Venue Manager when required.
  • Attend team meetings, as designated, by the Venue Manager

Essential

  • Event management qualification or experience in a similar role in a supervisory/management position.
  • Experience working in a high paced high volume hospitality venue.
  • Good understanding of licence laws under licencing act Scotland and be a personal licence holder or be willing to work toward one.
  • Must possess an eye for detail.
  • Be confident and an excellent communicator with both the wider team and customers.
  • Take ownership and responsibility.

Desirable

  • First Aid qualified.
  • Food Hygiene or Food safety certified.
  • Knowledge of working with promoters and be able to understand deal splits and riders.
  • Proficient on office 365 software packages.
  • Knowledge of events booking software packages (Artifax).

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£26,000.00-£27,500.00 per year
