Description

As a Barclays Custody Control and Regulation Manager, you will be role 1 in a team of 6 people responsible for overseeing CASS Operational compliance for Global Market Operations and Tax Operations a total of £115m cash and £6.36bn client assets in custody.

You will partner with and support the wider Global Market Operations department in any new regulatory change which may impact the departments CASS responsibilities, as well as ensure the department remains CASS regulatory compliant.

What will you be doing?:


  • Delivering the highest standard of service to internal and external clients against agreed SLAs
  • Identifying, escalating and reporting risks and issues
  • Ensuring you uphold personal conduct in line with the Barclays Way
  • Helping in evaluating regulatory risk within the department
  • Reporting directly into Glasgow regional Lead, Control & Regulation (VP)
  • Maintaining relationships with a diverse stakeholder population including Operations, Compliance, GMO, Business Leads and Regulatory Control teams

What we're looking for:


  • Proven financial services experience with Operational experience is essential; CASS knowledge is beneficial
  • Detailed knowledge of 1 product family (Equity Settlements; Fixed Income Settlements; Futures & Options; OTC Derivatives; Commodities etc)
  • High level of understanding of 23 functional areas of Market Operations (Trade Management; Settlement & Delivery; Asset Servicing; reconciliations etc)
  • Bachelor's degree level Education

  • Proven ability to grasp business concepts quickly, proactive approach to solving issues focusing on regulatory impact / compliance
  • Excellent ability to achieve quality results with a challenging but positive style
  • Ability to engage with senior stakeholders (VP Level)
  • Ability to maintain a reputation for integrity and quickly build trust with key stakeholders
