JOB DESCRIPTION
I am an elderly lady who lives at home in Jedburgh with my son. I am looking for

someone to spend the day with me each week, usually on a Thursday. I need help

throughout the day with my lunch, social activities and going out for walks. This post

will be due to start mid-January 2023, by arrangement with my family.

**Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Carer to help me with some personal care;**
  • Help to prepare my lunch and assist me to eat/drink following my care plan;**
  • Ensure I remain safe throughout the day;**
  • Go out for walks and spend some social time with me.

Personal Attributes

  • You will be very caring and patient with me;
  • You will be honest, trustworthy and reliable;
  • You will respect my need for privacy and confidentiality;

Hours of Work
Mostly every Thursday from 9a.m until 5pm, however we may ask if you can help out

at other times. We would always discuss this with you in advance. There may also

be a degree of flexibility for the right person, if the hours stated need to be altered

slightly to suit your availability e.g starting or finishing earlier.


The Terms
- £11.00 per hour;

  • 5.6 weeks annual leave, calculated on a prorata basis.
