THE JOB
This is an excellent opportunity to join our Operations department supporting the delivery of projects and programmes. You will be analysing business functions, business processes, data structures and information flows.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Supporting the department in the delivery of projects and programmes by way of investigating business functions, business processes, data structures, information flows, delivery models etc
  • Investigations of operational issues and problems and seeking effective business solutions through improvements in specified business areas or systems
  • Using GIS systems to extract real time data and using it to analyse trends and create reports that will enable the SMT to make strategic decisions
  • Specifying data, data objects and information flows that align with business needs
  • Production of business analysis deliverables using relevant documentation styles such as Project Initiaition documents, deployment schedules, resource forecasts etc.
  • Facilitation of workshops and meetings for stakeholders to gather requirements and document process flows
  • Colleague assistance by way of analysis of underlying issues and their root causes to identify available options for consideration
  • Work with the Head of Programme Management and other SMT stakeholders to ensure that required reports and program visibility are established and maintained.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING?

  • Knowledge of GIS mapping tools
  • Selfmotivated and high customervalue work ethic.
  • Ability to own workstreams within a project plan and effectively plan and track delivery
  • Ability to listen to and influence senior stakeholders and colleagues, by summarising large data sets and making it easy to understand what the opportunities are
  • Proven experience gathering and documenting information
  • Strong working knowledge of how to manage large data sets and how to use these to produce useful and accurate reports as required on an ongoing basis or for adhoc enquiries
  • Exceptional organisational skills and an excellent communicator
  • Experience using GIS systems for reporting and data modelling
  • Highly Proficient with MS Office Applications
  • Ability to work autonomously and with a small development team.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Advanced use of MS excel or similar

Desirable

  • Knowledge of how telecommunications or utility networks are built
  • PRINCE2 qualification
