We are looking for a Senior Sales Assistant with a background in retail to join the RSC retail sales team in ourShop
, located in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon. In this role, you will be supervising and motivating the team, whilst delivering the highest standards of customer care at all times.

You will report to the Retail Shop and Sales Manager, where some of your duties and responsibilities will include:


  • Ensuring the shop operates efficiently daily:

Monitoring banking and discrepancies:

Serving and assisting customers with RSC merchandise, enhancing their visit to the RSC:


  • Operating the EPOS systems whilst serving customers:
-
Maintaining excellent presentation of merchandise, cleaning fixtures and fittings, maintaining stock levels and re-ordering stock:


  • Assisting with processing and dispatching mail orders:
-
Ensuring cashing up and security procedures are followed:


  • Supervising a small team of staff

Experience of working in a retail environment:

Ability to use EPOS systems and Microsoft packages:

An eye for visual merchandising:


  • Someone who enjoys being part of a hard-working team

The role is a full time, permanent position and requires working 5 days, Monday through to Sunday.

The shifts are 7.5 hours with half an hour break, the earliest start would be 9.30am and the latest finish would be11pm, however 10pm is the norm.
