Financial Controller (Business Analyst and Company Secretary) - £40,000 - £60,000 DOE + Benefits - Liverpool
**The Role

Are you CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified? Do you possess excellent knowledge of computerised accounting packages, coupled with the ability to collect, summarise and analyse data? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our team. You will be responsible not only for looking after our finances, but also supporting the businesses we work with.

Hybrid working available however please note applicants will be expected to do some days in the office on a weekly basis and live in or near the Liverpool City Region.

**Key Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of a Financial Controller include, but are not limited to:

Maintaining and further developing financial systems, controls and procedures for LCR Ventures Ltd and LYVA Labs.
Preparing and updating company budgets and forecasts.
Preparation of management accounts and managing key financial performance indicators.
Preparation of yearend accounts.
Managing and controlling working capital and cashflow.
Monitor and review of financial data, present ideas and make recommendations to the Board.
Financial modelling for grant funding.
Managing eligibility and compliance for grants e.g., with Subsidy Control rules.
Managing outsourced HR, payroll and administrative services.
Preparing financial models, budgets and projections for potential investment companies (primarily earlystage startups) and inputting to investment proposals.
Input to the monitoring and reporting of progress for investments and grants provided to eligible companies.

**The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Financial Controller are:

CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified.
Minimum of 1 year post qualified experience working as an accountant.
Excellent knowledge of various accounting software packages including Xero.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel.
Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Knowledge of Subsidy Control rules and experience of compliance.
Awareness of earlystage investment models (desirable).
Awareness of company secretary responsibilities.
Works well under pressure and keen to take on greater responsibilities over time.
