Role aim
To lead and motivate the team, ensuring everyone is working to the best of their ability. To ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of products, and implementing operational efficiencies as required.
Role duties
- Leading all warehouse employees
- Ensuring all products are stored safely in the correct locations, assisting Warehouse Operatives with stock movement in freezer/chilled/ambient chambers
- Keep the warehouse organised/clean/tidy following the high standards/rules of Food and Safety Policies
- Organise/control the warehouse stock/inventory
- Overseeing the receipt of goods
- Planning delivery and despatch of products when required
- Ensuring all equipment is properly maintained
- Utilising all space effectively and reducing wastage
- Monitoring service levels
- Covering any other site roles when colleagues are absent
- Reporting of employee hours to the Site Manager
- Taking responsibility for your own health & safety and that of others
- Maintaining compliance with the Group's policies and procedures at all times
- Maintaining confidentiality and observing data protection and associated guidance where appropriate
- Flexible with an ability to work extra hours when needed

- Full and valid driving licence and use of own vehicle

Skills and abilities
- Proactive approach to problem solving
- Capable and confident in dealing with competing demands, prioritising effectively
- Understanding of risk management
- Critical thinking and analysis skills
Qualifications and experience
- At least 1 years' experience working in a site supervisory or team leader role
- REACH Truck, PPT, and Counterbalance licences and experience
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Pay:
£28,000.00 per year
