BDS Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a well known crime reduction charity who are looking for an experienced Housing Support Worker to work with adults with mental health issues, homelessness and ex-offenders who are experiencing difficulties, based in Merseyside the role can offer some home working

Purpose of the job


To improve the lives of vulnerable people using our services by providing direct housing related support services together with housing and property management to an individual or groups of individuals in conjunction with Senior Support Workers, Assistant Support Workers, the Team Manager and any appropriate external support agencies.

You will be supporting with the aim of achieving successful move-on and other measurable outcomes. There will also be a requirement to work on your own in the community and/or service setting.


You will provide flexible, holistic and short-term support to clients with a wide range of support needs, with the aim of them achieving their own accommodation at the end of their BASS placement.

You will manage a caseload of clients in properties in your allocated patch around Reading and Slough.

You will carry out property inspections and report repairs promptly to ensure we provide quality homes for our clients. You will be required to travel for training and team meetings, and be flexible to cover other local patches as required

We are looking for someone with knowledge of support planning and safeguarding, and experience of working with vulnerable adults with complex needs (i.e. substance misuse and mental health).

This position is initially temporary ongoing but may have a chance of becoming permanent further down the line.

THIS ROLE WOULD REQUIRE YOU HAVE A VALID DRIVING LICENSE AND ACSESS TO A VEHICLE

This role is 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Pay rate; £11.38ph PAYE- £15.11ph UMB
