A new opportunity to start a career in Finance as an Accounts Payable Assistant has arisen.


The Core Finance Team processes over 22,000 approved purchase invoices and credit notes annually from its suppliers with a spend of over £40,000,000 each year.


Working closely under the training and guidance of the Core Finance Supervisor, the purpose of the role is to help administer the accounts payable of the Club in terms of a paperless and electronic function for the accurate logging, approval, posting and timely BACS payment of all purchase invoices and credit notes in the accounting system and in line with the Club's policy on supplier payment terms.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
This is a starter role in Finance.

All training will be provided by the Core Finance Supervisor and the main specifications being sought are:


  • A commitment and desire to start a career in Finance.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to learn and take on instruction, training and feedback from the Core Finance Supervisor.
  • Organised, logical, methodical and values attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A willingness to work with high volumes of financial data and transactions.
  • Proactive, a planner and problem solver.
  • Happy working on a computer in an office environment.
