Description
A specialist banking business is looking to hire a Compliance Officer to based in their Kent office.

The role is a generalist Compliance roles getting involved in all aspects of Compliance whilst working closely with the Head of Compliance.


Main Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development/establishment of adequate inhouse controls and compliance procedures and maintain appropriate records/registers.
  • Contribute to the development of the Compliance Monitoring Programme.
  • Provide support for ensuring appropriate AML and DP/GDPR arrangements are in place.
  • Review/approve financial promotions.
  • Review regulatory papers and monitor outside developments to determine relevance/impact on the business.
  • Draft/maintain policies (including the Compliance Manual) falling within the remit of the Compliance team.
  • Act as alternate for the Head of Compliance in attending internal and external meetings, where required.
  • Assist with the preparation of reports and management information and prepare/submit regulatory returns.

Job Requirements:


  • At least 2 years Compliance experience working within a similar financial services business, ideally retail banking.
  • Good knowledge of Financial Promotions
  • Some experience of Operational Risk, preferable.
  • Degree educated
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbally.
