Description

Our client, a global health and wellness communications network, are looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to join their team on a 12 month FTC.


The main purpose of this role will be to provide financial and operational support to the Senior Financial Controller and Finance Manager.

You will be responsible for financial reporting and maintaining a strong internal controlled environment across financial operations.


The role will be a varied role which will involve managing multiple stakeholders and always working closely with the Senior Financial Controller, so you'll need to be proactive, thinking about future needs and keeping one step ahead.


Core responsibilities:
Financial Expertise

  • Responsible for performing the daytoday general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and analysis.
  • Monitor and reconcile general ledger, providing accurate and complete analysis of the accounts
  • Responsible for monthend and yearend close and for the preparation and analysis of the monthly financial reporting
  • Prepare all financial reporting requirements
  • Ensure that all financial reporting is performed in according with company's corporate policies and procedures
  • Perform balance sheet account reconciliations, account analysis, accrual calculations, and other related accounting documents/schedules
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Assist with the budgetary processes by reviewing & tracking against actuals
  • Monitor WIP postings and invoicing
  • Monitor agency expenses support cost accrual
  • Emerging ability to identify potential problems in existing environment and provide solutions before they manifest themselves in material financial results
  • Support the client finance team in selectively gathering relevant financial information to analyse financial results
  • Knowledge of regulatory environment and industry to develop and evaluate agency financial processes and controls
  • Work with internal and external auditors gathering and providing necessary information
Client Relationship Expertise

  • Model a positive, approachable, and professional manner and demonstrate a willingness to work with internal clients to meet their needs
  • Develop, manage and advance relationships with team members
  • Work with team members to identify their needs and recommend potential courses of action
  • Maintain trust and credibility with team members and other colleagues by quickly responding to their needs always following up and delivering highquality work
  • Readily adjust priorities to respond to pressing and changing demands
  • Persuade by presenting facts, analysis and solutions in a way that addresses the business needs
Project Management and resilience

  • Can help lead groups through major obstacles/challenges
  • Comprehend issues relative to processes and rules and adapt for appropriate end result
  • Identify issues relative to financial processes, recommend and implement changes where appropriate
Other Duties (as required)

  • HFM entry and local P&L package preparation
  • FMC checklists and balance sheet analysis
  • Management of annual CSR report
  • Oversee the entire AP process & work towards improving measurable KPIs
  • Vendor contract review
  • Revenue/costs variance explanations
  • Ensure intercompany balances are reported correctly and there are no mismatches
  • Support on ad hoc requests

Professional qualifications / experience:

  • You'll have prior experience in a similar position, operating at a Finance Analyst level
  • You will need to be ACA, CIMA or ACCA part qualified with recent exam success, or be a highly experienced finance professional with significant experience of client finance within a marketing/advertising/creative agency
  • You'll have an emerging ability to identify potential problems in existing environment and provide solutions before they manifest themselves in material financial results
  • We are ideally looking for experience of working within a marketing/advertising/creative agency or similar industry
  • You'll be personable, a good communicator, engaging and have the ability to develop internal relationships and present with a powerful, persuasive style
  • You should be able to demonstrate grace when working under pressure or to tight deadlines
  • You should have demonstrable experience of flexibility when working across multiplebusiness units
