What will you be doing?


Reporting to the Despatch Senior Supervisor, this role will predominantly involve the safe removal of all waste streams produced by the factory areas by the designated operating procedures within the site ISO14001 Environmental system.

You will ensure all yard areas are kept to the highest standards expected by the company.

  • To ensure control of waste products on a daily basis in line with the relevant operating procedures set out in the site ISO14001 Environment system.
  • Check all waste management equipment is operational on a daily basis and that daily hygiene and sanitation systems are in place.
  • Assist waste management suppliers on a daily basis to ensure waste containers are emptied
  • To ensure all yard and pallet areas are kept clean and tidy on an ongoing basis
  • To conform to all health & Safety & environmental systems within the yard areas including wearing of correct PPE equipment and high visibility clothing and correct storage of waste
  • To assist in the control of food safety issue within the yard areas in liaison with management and pest control agency representatives.
  • Ensure all relevant paper work such as waste transfer notes are checked, signed for, collected and handed in on a daily basis.
