Main duties of the job
We are recruiting for the role of Gypsy, Roma and Traveller Liaison (Health Equality Officer), this role is integral in ensuring that we communicate and engage with our local population.
Main purpose: o Working as part of the Patient Support Hub team, the Liaison officer will provide a direct point of contact for families from the Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller communities accessing hospital services o The liaison officer will work with clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure all Trust services are inclusive and culturally sensitive to meet the needs of the communities o Working with the Head of Health Inequalities, develop metrics and measures of care that highlight where inequalities and inequity may be found across patient experience and outcomes o Develop a Trust action plan for developing and improving our services to be more culturally appropriate and responsive o Support our Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller families in accessing information, raising concerns, and advocating a high quality of care for allAbout us
