Based in Liverpool, hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days per week on-site

Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) is a globally recognised centre of excellence, specialising in research that impacts global health.

This role will work collaboratively with a small research group within LSTM, that is focussed on ecology and control of vector-borne disease, and also with colleagues at the Science and Technology Facilities Council.

Key responsibilities include:

Technical responsibilities

Work closely with the field team in the UK to ensure empirical results are integrated into model development and analysis
Provide efficient and technical advice concerning qualitative aspects of projects to the wider research group where necessary
Assist with the development of grant proposals

Data recording:

Where appropriate, contribute to the collation and assessment of data from the wider project using appropriate software, including R
Prepare written data reports and PowerPoint presentations for line manager and funders
Input on initial analysis of data and draft sections of reports and manuscripts for the funders, external collaborators and journal submissions under guidance of the line manager
Undergraduate or Postgraduate qualification in Mathematics (or equivalent)
Experience of using R software of equivalent
