YOUR ROLE

Our team based in Wisbech have an exciting opportunity for a highly focused Warehouse Operative where you will work as part of the operational team responsible for the movement and storage of goods to, from and within the warehouse, where you will ensure goods are received, stored, and dispatched accurately and on time to meet team and customer objectives.

You will work on a night shift Sunday to Thursday, 10pm - 6am.

You will receive a basic hourly rate of £10.

57per hour, in addition to this you will also receive:

Local market rate supplement of £0.93per hour
Unsocial hours rate of £2.56per hour when working 8pm10pm

If you are a holder of an FLT license you will also receive an additional £14.00 per week and to promote safety across the operation you will also receive a monthly bonus of £15.00 if the site achieves no incidents that result in lost in time.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Reporting into a Team Leader, you will be responsible for:

Unload vehicles, ensuring goods are in excellent condition, the count is correct from the WMS system including goods received notes, and all paperwork is accurately completed
Load vehicles inline with the manifest ensuring the load is safe for transit and all paperwork is completed
Pick goods within the warehouse as instructed by management.
Report all accidents, incidents, damages, near misses and hazards immediately to management ensuring swift actions are taken
Move goods to designated warehouse locations
Assemble goods as instructed using WMS systems
Promote and follow all Health and Safety procedures and guidelines
Maintain hygiene standard across the warehouse and clean as you go

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

This role will require someone who is physically fit and able to preform manual tasks such as unloading and loading vehicles, pick and pack and moving goods across the warehouse.

It would be desirable, but not essential if you have experience of barcode scanning and manual handling.
