Responsibilities:


Reporting into our Department Manager you will be responsible for Supervising a team of Logistics Operatives ensuring all customer orders are dispatched safely and on time and that our raw materials are stored correctly and made available for our production teams.

We operate a rotational shift pattern covering 7 to 7 covering days and nights. You will work a total of 14 days over a 28-day period.

Typically you would be working as follows:

Week - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Week - Wednesday & Thursday
In addition to annual salary you will receive

£1,000 pa shift allowance.


Responsibilities:

Ensure team are trained to the required standard and all new starters have a meaningful and effective induction to the business

Ensure Company Health and Safety and Hygiene rules are always adhered to.

Ensure all Customer requirements (internal and external) are met in full wherever possible.

Liaise/communicate with all areas/departments where necessary.

Responsible for H&S and GMP across Raw, Drystores and Despatch areas

Manage holidays for shift to ensure appropriate crewing levels to meet business needs,

Manage absence.

Ensuring supply of Packaging to Unitize and Production.

Full Logistics area responsibility when on nights or in the absence of Logistics Department Manager

Ensure smooth communications between hauliers and planning/production so that when collections times change production can still achieve 100% finished goods availability


Skills & Experience
Previous experience of supervising a team of logistics operatives or warehouse staff.

Possess and promotes a positive attitude.

Motivated and results driven, with the ability to inspire others to deliver.

Promotes a collaborative team environment.

Excellent attention to detail

Highly organised and able to see the bigger picture.
