Description

We are looking for a Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our friendly multi-disciplinary team on Gosfield ward to work collaboratively towards providing a seamless service & high-quality care to patients.


Working closely with our brilliant nursing team you will be involved in the direct care to meet the needs of the patients in line with our values - excellent, compassionate and respectful - our procedures and uphold the Trust philosophy.


If successful, some of your duties will include:

  • Prioritising service delivery within the inpatient setting, acknowledging the impact of the decision on other departments
  • Having knowledge of, and act within current Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust Policies and Guidelines
  • Being aware of personal responsibilities regarding risk management procedures g. fire, health, and safety
  • Promoting a positive departmental image by showing a professional and helpful approach to all visitors to the hospital
  • Working with the registered nurse to manage patient care timely and in order of priority depending on the patients' clinical need
