The Centre for Neurosciences (CfN) CSU has an amazing opportunity to recruit a full-time and permanent Ward Leader to L24 Ward. We are looking for a nurse with the drive and passion to deliver the highest possible patient and staff experience to build a dedicated and responsive team, and lead them into the future. L24 is a spinal and neurosurgical inpatient ward looking after predominantly female patients. It is a 32-bed ward with a staff compliment of nearly 60 whole-time nursing and support staff, and an annual budget of just under 2.5m

Job description Job responsibilities JOB PURPOSE
The Jobholder will carry 24 hour continuing responsibility for the effective and efficient management of the ward/department. They will provide professional, clinical, managerial leadership and supervision for the nursing team. The jobholder is responsible for developing and maintaining a ward or departments philosophy that has the patient at the centre of compassionate safe and quality care delivery. Through managing the administrative and financial aspects of the ward, the jobholder will ensure cost effective use of resources.
L24 is a 32-bedded a predominantly female neurosurgical inpatient ward. The role requires direct management of approximately 60 whole time equivalent nurses and support staff. The role will require collaborative working across 3 Clinical Service Units to ensure that patient pathways are efficient and deliver exceptional quality outcomes.
The jobholder is responsible for the ward/department clinical budget of nearly 2.5m.
