Description

12 Month Fixed-Term Contract
We have an exciting opportunity for an Education Officer. You will work full time, supporting Ukrainian families and especially their children to access high quality education.

You will be familiar with the UK education system and be able to liaise with local schools to ensure refugee children can access the curriculum.

The ability to speak Russian or Ukrainian is desirable but not essential.

The successful applicant will work as part of a small, clearly focused, dedicated team of professionals in BCP.

We work within a corporate framework and you will help develop a set of clear policies, protocols and procedures to guide our work and enable us to be 'knowingly biased' and act as an advocate for refugee children.

Training and development of staff is highly valued in BCP Council and you will have the opportunity undertake learning opportunities for staff specific to the role.

You should be passionate about embedding best practice standards and putting children and young people at the centre of everything we do.

Interviews will be held on Friday 10th February.

This authority is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the community and expects all staff and volunteers to share the same commitment.

Applicants to this post will be required to complete the appropriate level of Disclosure & Barring Service Check.
