ABOUT THE JOB.


Our Quality Continuous Improvement Specialist will align with customer expectations (own label) and to support the business in demonstrating our relentless commitment to continuous improvement (CI) in product, process, equipment, raw materials, and people to ensure best in-class quality across all products manufactured on site.

Using statistical process control and data evaluation to drive improvements with measurable success.

While also managing own label specifications, customer quality contracts including the implementation of Control Quality Specification (CQS) documentation to ensure customers' expectations are achieved.

You'll also be responsible for.

  • Role out the site Quality CI strategy and focus on key projects such inline measurement systems and alignment to customer expectations utilising statistical process control and data evaluation to drive improvements with measurable success.
  • Responsibility for managing in plant sensory programs and leading daily quality panels. Implement and track initial validation and ongoing performance of each panellist.
  • Coach and champion the site functions to identify and implement opportunities to improve program and process effectiveness;
  • Plan, develop and coordinate training of In Process Improvement methodology;
  • Develop and enhance documentation, tracking tools and process flows for quality monitoring activities to comply with current regulations and standards;
  • Compile bench mark reports with quality data, taste panels etc
  • Be an integral member of the site Crisis Management Team, supporting the site in EWE's and traceability challenges.
  • Ensure any adverse trends are reported and corrective action is followed up
  • Ensure training matrix is maintained in accordance with customer requirements and any gaps are highlighted and addressed in a timely manner
  • To organise control and trend all analytical testing in accordance with site procedures and legislation
  • Working cross functionally to achieve common goals, drive standardisation and implement best working practise across the site/region
  • Monitor and investigate customer complaint trends and establish corrective action plans to prevent reoccurrence
  • Factory and process driven with approximately 60% of the time spent out in the plant
  • Take ownership for the sites Measurement Systems and calibration to ensure reliable and repeatable processes in line with Global best practices

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR


You'll already have experience in a similar role in continuous improvement within an FMCG, with experience of external standards such as BRC audit, customer audits and legal requirements.

You'll work autonomously and use your initiative in order to consistently improve our standards. You'll also have

  • Knowledge of Quality & Technical systems

  • Knowledge of HACCP
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Demonstrable problemsolving ability
  • How to interpret procedures
  • Retailer requirements
