We are looking for a confident
Business Integrity Analyst to provide analytical assistance in support of investigations into all aspects of unethical behaviour and other dishonest activity that affects Thames Water.

You will gather availabledata and carry out a detailed analysis in order to provide evidence using appropriate guidelines and procedures.

In addition, you will assist the Business Integrity Investigator to investigate unethical behaviour identified through proactive analytical work.

You will be part of a unique, exciting and dynamic well-established team at Thames Water, proactively investigating fraud, dishonesty and unethical behaviour in order to uphold the values and correct behaviours of the company.

Reporting directly to our Head of Business Integrity and Investigations, you will be performing a critical role as a member of our highly professional and supportive Risk, Audit and Assurance team.

This varied role deals with internal and external investigationsand provides you with good exposure to many areas of the business.

Liaising effectively with a wide range of people, including senior management.


What will this role involve?:


  • Gathering analytical evidence for reactive cases including alleged fraud, dishonesty and unethical matters arising from whistleblower reports.
  • Conducting analytical reviews of alleged fraud and ethical matters arising from the SMART Detection proactive programme or allocation by the Head of Business Integrity.
  • Responding to incidents across the Thames region and identifying cases where investigations may lead to a successful outcome.
  • Prepare and present recommendations and findings for proactive and reactive analytical support to key stakeholders.
  • Collating evidence and preparing reports for internal disciplinary hearings and civil and criminal investigations.
  • Compile detailed monthly dashboards and reports for senior management and external auditors.

What will you bring to the role?

Experience in data analysis, an eye for detail with the determination and ability to identify outliers which may develop into case leads.

A good working knowledge of advanced Excel and Power BI is required. Proficiency in MS Access, MS Forms, Power Automate and Power Query is highly desirable, as are SAP skills.
Experience in using Service Now, vehicle tracking software and using data to investigate fraud would be advantageous.

A Full, clean driving licence is essential as this role will require some site visits and will require flexibility to travel when needed.

The applicant must display the ability to work with sensitive data and treat investigations and outcomes in the strictest confidence.

A self-motivated and organised individual with an analytical mindset, and excellent interpersonal and report-writing skills. Lastly, proven communication and problem-solving skills are vital to succeed in this role.
