To that end, the AWS Global Sustainability Customer Strategic Engagement (CSE) team work to make sustainability-related data accessible to customers, position AWS as a global leader for innovation in sustainable cloud infrastructure and promote collaboration by providing insight into how we are working to build a sustainable business.

Our Sustainability Business Specialists focus on enabling AWS to do this at scale and ensure AWS meet customers' sustainability requirements and expectations.

As the Sustainability Business Specialist for the EMEA region, you will own the EMEA external customer engagement strategy and both lead and contribute to global projects owned by CSE.

You will work with teams such as EMEA Sales, Public Policy, Public Relations, and Analyst Relations teams who provide voice of the customer, and action through scalable mechanisms and solutions.

You will also develop relationships with sustainability consortiums and leaders that are driving IT and data center requirements across EMEA and consider how sustainability requirements may evolve over time.

This is a strategic role in the evolving space of sustainability as it pertains to data center operators.

We are looking for candidates with a proven track record of delivering results for customers, advising in sustainability-related stakeholder engagements, orchestrating cross-functional teams (internally and externally), and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The candidate must be able to explain cloud computing and the environmental impacts of digital technologies and services.

The CSE team sit within the AWS Infrastructure Services Global Sustainability team responsible for AWS's path to net zero, ESG compliance and supporting product development.

This ensures CSE can work directly with business partners responsible for designing, constructing and operating our data centers, and achieving our sustainability goals.
