This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join a Global Manufacturing company based in Stockport due to continued growth and expansion.

This company are a market leader in their sector and have been experiencing a sustained period ofgrowth making it an excellent time to join the business.

They offer Hybrid working option with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.

Description
The Assistant Accountant role is initially a temporary assignment which could be extended.

Reporting directly into the Financial Controller key responsibilities will include:

Support the local management team, F & A Regional Manager, FP & A Regional Controller and the global finance organization in their tasks
Ensure correct reporting and deliverables for AP, AR and GL departments
Control adequacy of provisions, accruals, reconciliations and writeoffs for month end and year end with timely and accurate deadline reporting
Support Regional F & A Manager with coordination of all items relating to the statutory reporting with Auditors and Tax Advisors
Support Regional F & A and FP & A Controller with analysis and continuous improvement of productcosting and controlling of the manufacturing site
Ensure accurate record keeping (project to be undertaken to collate all current records)
