Salary £20,812 - £21,189 Per annum | Permanent, Part Time, 32.5 hours per week | Pro Rata

32.5 hours a week for 52 weeks of the year with 25 days holiday and also bank holidays. It is a split shift post that generally starts at approximately 7.15am to 10.30am then 14.15 to 17.30.


This is a Driver post that will operate out of our Depot based on the Network 65 industrial Estate in Hapton but we do have vehicles parked in other locations within East Lancashire so the successful applicant must be able to travel if required.

The purpose of this job is to transport and assist passengers with disabilities and sensory impairments in a safe, caring, professional manner

  • Transporting passengers in a safe and caring manner
  • Providing care duties associated with transport services. For example, assisting passengers to prepare for the journey and to and from and on and off the vehicle and ensuring passengers are safe and comfortable when on the vehicle
  • Ensuring passengers reach their destination / activity safely on group trip
  • Working as a team with the Passenger Assistant (where one is provided) in the delivery of the service
  • Operating the vehicle passenger lift to enable passengers to board and alight from the vehicle
  • Carrying out vehicle checks, fuelling and cleaning as required by Integrated Transport procedures
  • Completion of records as required by Integrated Transport procedures
Undertaking other driving and attendant duties as and when required


You will be required to provide a car for use in connection with the duties of this post and must be insured for business use.

However, we may consider you if you cannot drive because of a disability.
