What are we looking for
We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Advisor to join our team.

This role will support the leadership team with developing the ITM Academy and whole Learning & Development (L&D) offering to the business and is fundamental to growing the capabilities and behaviours of ITM people to ensure the workforce is agile, change-ready and has the approach and ability to deliver.


There will also be other areas of responsibility which may include Early Careers Development (Apprenticeships, Degree Apprenticeships and a traineeship Scheme), managing department training plans for mandatory training requirements, competency assessment, designing training for delivery where appropriate, training provider management and overseeing our elearning training requirements.


Responsibilities

  • To ensure that effective onboarding and induction processes are in place at a corporate and departmental level
  • Oversee and ensure that all mandatory and compliance training is delivered in a timely and costeffective manner
  • To work with department managers to ensure plans are in place for all competency /mandatory and compliance related training across the annual cycle
  • To ensure that effective (compliant) learning related record keeping is in place working with the HR & Academy Coordinators to achieve this
  • To deliver a range of internal training workshops where appropriate
  • To manage the bookings for a range of external courses
  • To ensure best fit / ROI from the provision of any learning providers and maintain these relationships / contracts
  • To ensure that we have systems in place for the effective evaluation of learning activity
  • Work with Team Managers for the development of any technical, internal training requirements where additional external support may be required
  • To manage our elearning provision and ensure it remains fit for purpose
  • Coordinate the activities to promote STEM careers in schools along with promoting engineering / science careers for females in STEM ensuring we have an annual coordinated calendar of events
  • To design, implement and manage a trainee scheme offering to attract and develop key early career talent into fundamental business areas
  • Develop and maintain strong & effective working relationships with colleagues across the business and external training providers
  • Any other reasonable activities as determined by the Head of HR or leadership team

About You

Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience working in a fastpaced, agile learning team accustomed to driving innovative solutions
  • Experience of operational learning delivery and design providing enhanced solutions across wideranging business units
  • Evidence of CPD in the area of L+D / HR
  • CIPD or equivalent learning related qualification
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Able to work to demanding deadlines and prioritising workload

Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of effective learning and development methods but as importantly a passion for all things learning related
  • Familiarity and good working knowledge of elearning platforms and practices would be advantageous
  • Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems
  • Previous experience of planning, coordinating and delivering multiple and varied projects / programmes
  • A natural coach and mentor, easily able to gain the trust of stakeholders
  • Able to work autonomously to deliver as well as working in collaboration with the wider HR team
