Overview
2fawcett have an exciting opportunity for an experienced
Buyer to join a successful manufacturing business based in Birmingham.


Requirements of the Buyer

  • Assist in supporting the development of procurement strategies in Non-Production
  • Support strategic procurement tasks around supplier selection/deselection and cost savings/avoidance
  • Evaluation of tender responses
  • Contract negotiation and award
  • Collaborate with quality in regards to NCR and supplier quality issues
  • Supplier relationship management
  • CIPS qualified preferable
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong negotiation skills
  • Have the ability to influence and drive best practice
  • Be confident in communicating at all levels and willing to deal with end to end purchasing including administrative tasks
  • The ability build collaborative supplier relationships, ensuring quality, cost and lead times are in line with business objectives
  • Minimum 3 years Procurement experience
  • Ability to negotiate and agree contractual terms
