HR Assistant - Birmingham
Reed Education is supporting a large secondary school based in Birmingham who are looking to appoint a HR Administrator to begin immediately.
The school based in the heart of Birmingham cares deeply for the education, safety and the personal development of all it's students.
The staff work relentlessly to make sure that students have the highest aspirations and are motivated to flourish and succeedin everything they do.
The school sits at the heart of it's multi cultural community where every individual matters. The community that the school serves is blessed with rich diversity of languages, cultures and faiths.Some of the day to day duties will include; management of staff attendance including cover for absences, co-ordination of the school's leave of absence scheme, management of all the recruitment process and ensuring completion of the school workforce census,termly.
- Experience of working in HR, preferably in a school environment
- Possess strong knowledge of HR best practice, processes and employment law.
- Be able to demonstrate expertise of employee relations and HR processes including recruitment training, induction, employment contracts etc.
- CIPD qualification is desirable.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to influence, motivate and negotiate with other stakeholders.
- Be confident, flexible and a strong team player
- Good ICT skills and strong administrative and organisational skills
- Understand the importance of confidentiality and discretion
- Calm and professional under pressure
- Have an enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service, or be willing to pay for a new check to be done.
