- Making editorial decisions based on expert advice.
- Representing the subject matter in the journal.
- Collaborating with editors within the Nature family and the scientific community.
- Participating in conferences and research institution visits.
- Commissioning and editing Reviews, and writing Editorials.
- A PhD in protein sciences or experimental and/or computational biophysics.
- Understanding of field trends and a passion for scientific research.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
- Ability to assess research novelty and implications across disciplines.
- Willingness to travel, engage with scientists worldwide, and explore diverse research areas.
- Editorial experience is not mandatory.
