The Role & Key Responsibilities

Contract type:
Permanent, Monday - Friday 40hrs per week 8:30 - 17:00

Have you got experience of preparing or supporting monthly Management Accounts in a production/Manufacturing environment? If so, we have an opportunity for you


You will join a finance team of 6 working closely with our Senior Management Accountant to ensure that Sales Reports and Management Accounts are submitted accurately and robust for our group and subsidiary businesses ranging between £500,000 - £20Millionturnover.

You will both contribute to and lead on these reports.


Other responsibilities will include:

  • Completion of VAT returns for both group and subsidiaries
  • Management account reporting activities including balance sheet reconciliations, commentaries on both month and year end reports
  • Submission of data to external parties e.g. National Statistic Office, Audits and VAT
  • Smooth running of internal online ordering and stock movement system acting as a point of contact for issues and troubleshooting
  • Supporting both Senior Management Accountant and Financial Controller with process improvements, generation of SOP's and audit requirements


This is a great opportunity for someone who has experience of generating accounts and reports in a manufacturing environment who is looking for a varied and hands on role.

You will join us at an exciting time as we are looking at new processes, systems andtechnology as part of the wider Ab Agri family.

To be successful in this role we are looking for the following:

  • Newly qualified or working towards a professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or similar)
  • Ideally experience of working in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Sage 200 accounting would be advantageous

For this role we are looking for a hybrid working approach with some onsite requirement at our manufacturing facility in Monmouth Wales.
