COMMERCIAL MANAGER / BID MODELLER

The Opportunity


We are a contract cleaning and soft services provider to the FM arena in London, and widely regarded as the employer of choice.

We manage and support both end user clients and managing agents with several Iconic buildings and developments you will recognise.


As a result of our continued growth, we need a pricing expert to support the account development team in complex pricing and modelling for multimillion pound contracts based in London.


As all bids are bespoke and technical you will need to have experience in pricing in a soft services and contract cleaning market.


This role will suit someone doing a similar role or even someone from the cleaning industry from a senior sales or operations role that has the technical know-how.


The Package
£50k-£55k basic

Bonus

35 days holiday per year (including bank holidays)

The Role of the Commercial Manager

  • Lead & own all aspects of costing and pricing for the company on new business and retenders
  • Own the brands Cost and Financial Modelling
  • Review of client specifications to ascertain requirements
  • Use of scenario modelling and risk analysis
  • Support on Data Capturing Development Activities
  • Support on Cost Reduction & Improvement Activities
  • Support the Head of Sales & Marketing with solution development for tenders
  • Validating solutions against current delivery, business run rates and industry standards
  • Ensure cost competitiveness of each costing solution through benchmarking and analysis
  • Production of client returns as part of a tender response
  • Utilising data to affect change and impact our service offering
  • Utilise BICSc and Industry trends to ascertain correct productivity ratios to ensure competitiveness
  • Liaising with Subcontractors & Supply Chain
  • Benchmarking of Subcontractors & Supply Chain

The Person

  • Clearly demonstrate you have achieved success within an estimating or modelling role, with a clear emphasis on cleaning services
  • Clear evidence of projects that you have led the costing analysis and development
  • Understanding on how to estimate pricing from varying data
  • Understanding of developing cost estimates that take account of; productivities, labour resource, equipment, supply chai; overheads; profit and historical costs.
  • Deep knowledge of BICSc productivities
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel
